The Cake

I stayed up for 2 hours on Friday night making a train cake for Oliver's train-themed birthday. The look on his face on Saturday morning when I showed it to him was priceless. If I had more time, I would have made the entire thing edible; crafting trees, tracks, fence etc. out of fondant. I also was not entirely happy "airbrushing" the grass. I wanted real-looking grass, but alas, my buttercream was too limp. The "rocks and stones" I purchased, not having a particular purpose in mind, but really liked what they added. They were yummy too...like m&m's.
